Mission Statement

I've been in need of some direction. As it usually does, the Universe gave me a little boost by way of SimpleMom in the form of Mission Statements. It really got my juices flowing again and I actually am feeling the stirrings of excitment about my mission. So with out further ado and courtesy of the Mission Statement Builder, my (current) mission:

I am at my best when I've had good sleep, feel attractive, accomplish my tasks, do well in school.

I will try to prevent times when I feel tired, sick, overwhelmed, hungry, or have overeaten.

I will enjoy my work by finding employment where I can help others and organize.

I will find enjoyment in my personal life through reading, writing, dreaming big.

I will find opportunities to use my natural talents and gifts such as writing, photography, baking, researching/fact gathering.

I can do anything I set my mind to. I will travel, bear witness to the world's problems, photograph & document - write a book.

My life's journey is: A trial to live in the bad reality while creating a bubble of good reality/magick around me. It's for me, for this earth, for my family, my sisters and brothers, for the people who are still searching. I am doing it because there is a void in peoples hearts and souls where magick belongs and to foster care and love for the earth. The journey's results are after a bit of trouble, a place not of this world that exists right here in front of us. Growing into the person I was meant to become and helping others do the same. Peace, safe haven for my family.

I will be a person who was fallible but mostly accomplished. Who lived with passion, was unrelenting in my vision of a better world. Who inspired others to raise themselves up out of the mess of the mundane world and their own fallacies. That traveled the world and shared my stories and my life with many different people. Who was a the epitome of a well lived/loved life. Who wrung every possible moment of joy and laughter from it. Who explored the depth and breath of the human experience and came out on the other side a graceful, beautiful, wise old woman.

My most important future contribution to others will be helping them find peace.

I will stop procrastinating and start working on:
  • sewing/designing
  • writing a book
  • the way I eat/exercise/care for this body

I will strive to incorporate the following attributes into my life:
  • worldly because she did things instead of talking about them
  • willingness to live her true path
  • relentless assertion that anything is possible if you work for it

I will constantly renew myself by focusing on the four dimensions of my life:
  • Eat 4-6 small healthy meals a day. Exercise 5x week. Cut out fats and sweets. Sleep routine. Up early, To bed early.
  • Pray. Commune with nature. Make connections with like-minded people. Study. Buddhism.
  • Organize. Routine. Seek help. Live my truth. Get finances under control.
  • Get out of the house. Maintain contact with those who are already around me. Make new connections for Son and myself. Plan for next summer & make it happen.
(There was some slight editing for grammar etc.)

It's a pretty great mission statement if I do say so myself and I get to live it! Yippee!

What is your mission?

btw, Fourth of July recap is coming as soon as I can find my cord that allows me to download the pictures from el camera. It was awesome.

good work here, sister! I have one suggestion: remove the word "will" so that your mission is your 'present' and not your 'future'. You've inspired me to think about mine now!
